As a United Way Board Member, past President and volunteer for hundreds of hours over the last 9 years; I have witnessed first hand how our efforts have changed lives, and saved lives in our very own community. All donations stay here in LaPorte County supporting special programs for youth, senior citizens and those who are disadvantaged. Shelter for homeless and abused children and adults, meals for elderly and home bound, assistance for families of veterans, wheelchair ramps, a safe harbor for children after school, and the list goes on. Giving to the United Way of LaPorte County Community Fund is the most powerful way to invest in our community. If Everyone Gave Just $5... Imagine. There are an estimated 91,139 adult residents of LaPorte County.
